Why learn with Laura?

Learn the how—and the why—with Laura

I bring more than 25 years of makeup experience across broadcast television and bridal work to my teaching. As a BBC Lead Makeup Artist and educator, I know how important good preparation, thoughtful product choices and a calm approach are to a finished look.

My aim is to make those professional principles approachable. You can ask questions, practise with guidance and understand why a technique works, rather than simply follow a demonstration.

Real working experience

Practical insight from broadcast and bridal makeup, translated into skills you can understand and use.

Individual feedback

Demonstration and guided practice, with opportunities to ask questions and develop your confidence.

Skills beyond one brand

Learn transferable techniques that work with suitable makeup brands of your choice.

My Approach to Skincare & Makeup

Good preparation. Individual choices.

Understanding skin and preparing it well is an important part of my makeup teaching. We explore how skincare, product choice and application work together, with attention to each person’s needs, preferences and confidence.

Alongside my professional work, I’m an independent Tropic Ambassador. Its vegan and cruelty-free approach aligns with my personal values, and I enjoy sharing the range with anyone who is interested.

Exploring Tropic is entirely optional. You do not need to purchase Tropic products to attend a course—the focus is on practical skills and understanding what works for you.

Interested in the products I use? You’re welcome to explore my Tropic shop separately—there’s no obligation to purchase anything as part of your course.
